Did you know that historic books can contain toxic components in their covers? For September’s Coffee with the Curator, join Earl Scruggs Center Assistant Director Zach Dressel and Gardner Webb University Dean of the Library and University Archivist Natalie Bishop for a discussion about “Poison Books,” the center of a new collaborative research project lead by the Winterthur Museum with collaboration by Gardner Webb University. As part of the discussion books from the Cleveland County Historical Collection will be shown to demonstrate the principals of this new study.
