Darin Aldridge will lead the workshop.  Darin and wife Brooke have received multiple nominations from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA),  the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America (SPGBMA) and Inspirational Country Music (ICM). The music video “Wildflower” is being featured on CMT and CMT Edge and GAC. Their TV appearances include PBS, Great American Gospel, The Bluegrass Road, Presley’s Country Jubilee, RFD-TV, Rural-TV, Daystar Network, Blue Highways TV, Song of the Mountains and Music City Roots.

Darin Aldridge

Darin spent 6 years as a member of the acclaimed County Gentleman and is a highly sought-after multi-instrumentalist.  Darin has a music studio where he teaches lessons on a number of instruments, including banjo!  His easygoing style combined with his talent as a musician will put any participant at ease while teaching intermediate and advanced skills and techniques for the banjo.

Join us after the workshop on the lawn of the Earl Scruggs Center for our third and final Earl Scruggs Center’s Pickin’ on the Square.  It begins at 4:30 so you will have time to stop by Lily Beans local coffee shop, grab a bite to eat at one of the Uptown Shelby restaurants or pick up a frozen treat at Fuzzy Peach. Come out and apply your newly acquired skills while listening to Darin & Brooke Aldridge who will host the event and play a few tunes for guests. See our events listing for details.
