The story of Irish emigration to America over the past two centuries in song and story, with references to the different waves of emigration that took place throughout the years. Their reasons for leaving, their acceptance into the United States, their contributions to the culture, music and businesses. The close relationships that both countries have had for two centuries.

One listen to any of Irish folk singer Pat Kelleher’s music and you can immediately here the distinctive Irish lilt in his baritone voice.  He deems himself as being a folk singer singer, but on closer scrutiny, it becomes obvious that he is much more than that. He has many diverse influences and can be heard performing traditional folk songs and sea shanties, contemporary songs and also bluegrass and old time with an emphasis on several styles of playing the five-string banjo as well as being an accomplished guitarist. He is a well renowned user of the long neck banjo in multiple styles and regularly gives lessons and workshops on this instrument. He has recently began to write songs and they are receiving positive reviews.  Pat has toured Ireland, UK, Germany, Switzerland and some of the U.S in his more than thirty year career including his first performance at the Earl Scruggs Center in 2015, and is always well received wherever he performs.
