From Charlie Poole to Earl Scruggs and beyond: North Carolina’s contribution to the birth of bluegrass — join David Menconi, longtime music critic and author of “Step It Up & Go: the Story of North Carolina Popular Music, from Blind Boy Fuller and Doc Watson to Nina Simone and Superchunk,” for a talk about how bluegrass as we know it would not exist without artists from The Old North State.
