Fri, August 18, 11-1:30: FREE LUNCH FOR TEACHERS

The Earl Scruggs Center wants to buy you lunch!  On Friday, August 18^th from 11-1:30, teachers can enjoy lunch on us at the Scruggs Center in uptown Shelby.  Drop in, eat lunch and see what new programs the Scruggs Center offers to teachers and students, including field trip opportunities, special exhibits, On Tour education trunks and more.  Scruggs Center Education staff will be on hand to answer questions.  This is a great chance to check out our inexpensive field trip opportunities, peek at our special exhibits, win a give-away prize – and simply get off-site for a free lunch!

This is a drop-in program so teachers can come and go at their leisure. 

Spots are limited so reserve your spot now – first come, first served.

Tues, September 26th, 3:00pm-5:30pm: Drop in!

Drop-in and book your field trip! This is a great time to not only discover what the museum can offer but to talk to our Education staff about custom programs – book your program during this drop-in time and receive a gift!  Our programs are curriculum-based, interactive and customizable.  We blend history, music, science and other disciplines into educational and entertaining field trips.  Reservations are not needed for this drop-in event.  Refreshments will be served.

Sat, March 17^th, 10am-4pm: FREE ADMISSION FOR TEACHERS & THEIR FAMILIES

Show your teacher id for free admission to the ESC for you, your spouse and your children on the opening day of our new Baseball Exhibit.  Enjoy a family day on us and enjoy our interactive exhibits – and imagine what a great place it would be for your students!
