CALVIN EDWARDS

Edwards is an accomplished international jazz guitarist, songwriter and producer.

Edwards began playing the guitar at age six, influenced by his father who was an accomplished gospel songwriter, vocalist and guitarist.

At age seventeen, Calvin joined the gospel group Five Blind Boys of Alabama. He eventually moved to Los Angeles to play with his brother in The Jett Edwards Band. The band recorded two albums with one song recorded by George Benson.

Edwards currently travels and performs with his band The Calvin Edwards Quartet and is a producer for jazz shows in Okinawa, Japan, on various military installations.

Edwards was producer for the performance prior to the arrival of President Clinton's speech to military personnel during his visit to Okinawa for the G-8 Summit.
