Saturday brings the entire camp together for special shared experiences celebrating Earl’s life, music, and influence.

    A unique opportunity to explore personal stories and artifacts connected to Earl’s remarkable journey.

  • Q&A with the Masters
    Spend time with legendary instructors Tony Trischka, Kristin Scott Benson, and Bill Evans during an interactive question-and-answer session.

  • Earl Jam Tunes & Farewell
    Celebrate the close of camp with shared music and community picking inspired by Earl’s timeless repertoire.

Workshop Sessions — Banjo Instruction

Choose from engaging instructional workshops designed to deepen technique, repertoire, and musical understanding:

• Earl’s Slow Song Back-up on “Someone Took My Place with You” — Kristin Scott Benson

• Earl’s Solos to Vocal Tunes: Play the Melody! — Bill Evans

• Don Reno & Earl Live from the 40’s Opry — Tony Trischka

• Earl’s Fancy Up-the-Neck Backup Licks — Bill Evans

Concurrent sessions allow campers to tailor their experience to their interests and playing goals.

Evening Directed Jamming

Keep the music going during guided evening jams from 7:00–9:00 p.m. at the Earl Scruggs Center, led by JamTown Gilbert and Leigh Nelson. Build confidence, collaborate with fellow players, and put new skills into practice in a welcoming environment.
