Join us for The Scottish and Irish Roots of our American Fiddle Tunes, an interactive concert and lunch-n-learn program with Andrew (Finn) Magill.
Andrew Finn Magill learned old time, bluegrass, and Irish music from the best fiddlers in the world while growing up at The Swannanoa Gathering in Asheville. He has gone on to headline at festivals including Celtic Connections in Glasgow Scotland, Malawi’s prestigious Lake of Stars Festival, and Milwaukee Irishfest. Having grown up immersed in all of these genres, The Scottish & Irish Roots of our American Fiddle tunes is an interactive concert that explores the intricate relationships between these genres and how they have influenced each other.
“On the drop of a hat, Magill takes listeners along a journey of musical evolution from the rolling hills of Ireland to the Blue Ridge Mountains” – Willard Watson, program director at the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum
“”I’m gonna keep listening for Finn Magill.” – legendary Americana artist & Grammy-winner Tim O’Brien
