Get in the mood for spooky season with the ESC’s Zach Dressel and special guests Joe Depriest and Dr. June Hobbs with a curated tour of Sunset Cemetery in Uptown Shelby.
One of Cleveland County’s oldest burial places, Sunset Cemetery has been operating continuously since the early 1840s. Preeminent scholars of Shelby’s historic hallowed ground and authors of Tales and Tombstones of Sunset Cemetery, Depriest and Dr. Hobbs look forward to sharing their extensive knowledge during this popular program.
The tour will take place on October 11 at 10:30 a.m. Register in advance to secure your spot. Admission is limited to 15 to ensure that everyone can actively participate in the tour. The tour includes plenty of walking so please wear comfortable closed-toed shoes.
