What do the Henry Ford Museum, the New York State Museum, and Shelby City Parks and Recreation all have in common? How about the ownership of one of the longest carnival mainstays in American history, a carousel built by the Herschell Spillman Company. On Wednesday March 20th, join the Earl Scruggs Center for a unique look at the story one of Shelby’s most prized landmarks offered by Tommy Forney, who has played a major role in the carousel’s survival for nearly 40 years. Participants in the Coffee with the Curator program will meet at the carousel located at Shelby City Park on March 20th at 10:30 am.
