Ages: 10-16 (older students allowed with inquiry)
Skill Level: Intermediate

Students will focus on enhancing banjo skills by learning songs, licks, scales and patterns to take them to the next level in their banjo journey. A special focus will be placed on the Earls Scruggs 3-finger picking style. Through group instruction and individual mentoring, students will have an opportunity to work at a pace that focuses on progress and musicality. On the final day, parents are invited to a mini-performance to experience the culmination of a week of hard work. Students are encouraged to bring an instrument. Contact the Earl Scruggs Center for information on loaned instruments & scholarships/fee assistance or click here.
Prerequisite: Students should know basic open chords as well as a solid foundation of note and/or tablature literacy. Students will also need to be familiar with 3 finger picking banjo rolls.
** Scholarships and instruments are available. Please call us at 704-487-6233 to learn more. Participants need to commit to all WEEK. **
