Old Time Folk Music by Michael and Donna Fox Sunday, March 8th, 2015 2:00 pm – 3:00pm
The Earl Scruggs Center is excited to have Michael Fox creator of the Dulcijo, come play some old time music and talk about the banjo along with his wife, Donna Fox. They have been married for 35 years and have been playing music together their whole marriage. Donna plays guitar, bodhran, marimbula, and numerous percussion instruments, such as spoons, scrubboard, bones, and washtub bass. She sings and is a fine story teller.
Accompanying Michael and Donna will be Keith Watts, who has been playing music with Michael since 1973 when they were in high school. Many years ago Keith started the Wilkes Folk Music Society. He and the Folk Music Society has worked with Merlefest for many years overseeing the jam tents providing a place for musicians to get together and play together.
