Out of Carolina explores Earl’s time in the mills and his transition from the mills to the stage, his early years on the road through the moment he made history when he first played on the stage of the Ryman Auditorium. In the Land of Radio explores the impact of broadcasting and guests can listen to ads, news, and music from the 20s 30s and 40s. This gallery also includes history of politics with the Shelby Dynasty as well as the booming textile mills and accompanying mill villages. Widespread textile mills began popping up all over the region with new villages built by mill owners.
