Sizes, Shapes, Colors

This program is specially designed for our younger visitors.  After a warm welcome by our staff, educators will be given our Seek & Find Flipbooks; these flipbooks enable educators to “tour” learners through our exhibits, asking them to hunt for artifacts of all different sizes, shapes and colors.  Pictures, questions and answers are all contained in the flipbooks for easy use by educators.  This program also includes our banjo petting zoo where students can touch, hear and pick our banjos.

  • Grade level: K-2nd grades
  • Time: 1-1.25 hours
  • Min/Max learners: 10/40
  • Price per learner: $3.00 (with a minimum fee of $45)
  • For elementary grades, 1 chaperone for every 5-8 students is required.  For older students, 1 chaperone for every 5-10 chaperones is required.  Additional chaperones are welcome but will need to pay a reduced admission fee of $5 each. 
  • As a supplement to this program, reserve our “Sensational Sounds” On Tour Trunk to use in your classroom before and/or after your ESC program.

This program includes everything in our Sizes, Shapes, Colors program as well as a special staff-led Books & Banjos program with book reading and a make-and-take musical craft to add even more rhythm and music to your visit.

  • Grade level: K-2nd grades
  • Time: 1.5-1.75 hours
  • Min/Max learners: 10/40
  • Price per learner: $5.00 (with a minimum fee of $75)
  • For elementary grades, 1 chaperone for every 5-8 students is required.  For older students, 1 chaperone for every 5-10 chaperones is required.  Additional chaperones are welcome but will need to pay a reduced admission fee of $5 each. 
  • As a supplement to this program, reserve our Sensational Sounds On Tour Trunk to use in your classroom before and/or after your ESC program.
